What is Rejuvanessence®?

It is a gentle, trained fingertip technique focusing on the 91 muscles of the face, neck, head, and shoulders as well as the connective tissue just below the skin's surface. The treatment helps skin regain its flexibility, allowing for a more relaxed and youthful look.

How does it work?

Over the years, stress and tension tighten skin and connective tissue around blood vessels and lymph glands. As a result, the flow of nutrients and oxygen is depleted and the waste products build up in the cells, causing a "tired" complexion. Rejuvanessence® lifts the face by gently releasing the tightened tissues and improving circulation.

What can be achieved?

The skin regains its flexibility, and smooths and firms. Muscles regain definition similar to the kind of toning that comes with exercise. Bone structure becomes more visible. Lines and wrinkles diminish. The face appears more open and relaxed, and therefore, younger.

As the course of treatment progresses, more layers of tissue become accessible, and the results are enhanced. The color of the skin often becomes more even and balanced as nutrients consistently nourish the cells.

What does a treatment require?

Full relaxation. Each treatment is offered in a calm, quiet, massage-like setting. The "Angel's Touch," as Rejuvanessence® is sometimes called, is immediately relaxing and soothing. One almost goes into a meditative state. It feels so good, some clients enjoy the process as much as the results.

How many treatments are required before you see results?

Most clients see some results immediately in terms of skin tone and "brightness." The more dramatic results appear after five or six treatments. A full course of treatment is six sessions of 75-90 minutes each.

How do I retain the results?

Eat well, get plenty of rest, drink water, and schedule regular periodic Rejuvanessence® treatments every four to eight weeks.

Are there other health benefits to Rejuvanessence®?

Absolutely. Those who suffer from chronic shoulder, neck or jaw pain, particularly TMJ clients, report relief. Likewise, headaches are eased and often disappear. Importantly, the technique itself is profoundly relaxing, thereby affording the mind, body, and soul an opportunity to rebalance and rejuvenate.

How did Rejuvanessence® originate?

In the late 1980's, Margareta Loughlin developed the procedure and refined the technique, ultimately founding the International Institute of Rejuvanessence® in London. For many years, the practice was limited to the United Kingdom, with international practitioners only recently bringing the science of Rejuvanessence® to Europe, South Africa, Australia and the United States.
